New Developments with PIE & Navevo

PIE (Public Information Exchange) has recently formed a new partnership with Navevo to offer the ProNav PNN200 HGV Satellite Navigation System for heavy goods vehicles and van drivers. This product can also be utilised for horse transportation, caravans and trailers with a unique set of features provided by PIE to keep you on the move without getting confronted by obstacles on route.  

Navevo was formed back in 2004 to exploit their proprietary navigation software based on a successful routing algorithm developed over a period of 10 years. Navevo has continuously put new product development at the forefront of their strategy which made it a clear choice for PIE to partner.

This product utilises the data that has been specially created by PIE which many users of the London Lorry Control would be familiar with when using the PIE’s website for London Lorry Control (www.londonlorrycontrol.com), but this time on a portable device on a national scale.

The system allows drivers to enter their vehicle details such as height, weight, length and width followed by the type of goods the vehicle is carrying e.g. normal, corrosive/explosive, etc. The intelligent software on the satellite navigation system then calculates a route which has been based on the vehicle dimensions and prepares the relevant route for the driver.
